Kristin Williams for Homewood City Council
“I want to protect what makes Homewood special while planning smartly for its future.”
Meet Kristin Williams
Kristin Williams is a longtime resident, community advocate, and proud supporter of all things Homewood. Now, she’s stepping forward to serve as your next City Council representative for Ward 4—bringing a voice of experience, energy, and deep-rooted commitment to the table.
Candidate for Homewood City Council – Ward 4

For Kristin, “We Love Homewood” is more than a city slogan—it’s a way of life. It’s reflected in how she’s raised her family here, supported local businesses, volunteered in our schools, and worked shoulder-to-shoulder with neighbors to protect what makes Homewood feel like home.
With a background in nonprofit leadership, civic engagement, and neighborhood organizing, Kristin brings the skills and heart needed to lead with vision and accountability. Her campaign is focused on preserving the best of Homewood while planning wisely for the future.

Kristin is known for showing up, listening deeply, and getting things done. Whether it’s organizing park cleanups, attending city meetings, or advocating for green spaces and education, she’s already doing the work—and she’s ready to do even more as your Councilwoman.

“I’m running because I love this city, and I believe in building a Homewood that works for everyone—not just today, but for generations to come.”
Endorsements
I am so thankful Kristin W is running for our ward 4. One thing I like about her is that she is not a politician. She is not representing the Republican or Democratic party. She is representing Homewood. She does not stand to gain from this position with her job. Because she does not have mixed motives or the possibility of personal gain, we can trust she will not go against surveys from our citizens—expressing what the majority of the people desire. In the past, we learned that certain Council members had mixed motives and did not respond to our concerns. Now that we have such a small Council, mixed motives can be even more devastating to our city.
Kristin has a heart to represent the people in our ward, which also includes many businesses. She has actively attended the city council meetings and seen choices made by the Council. Given the very real threat of over-developing the city, many homeowners and the downtown businesses have not felt our voices have been heard. Kristin has shared that she will hold town meetings and will ask and listen to the concerns of her ward. She will respect our current business people and work to ensure Homewood grows responsibly. How refreshing to have someone who does not need to decide for us! How exciting it would be to have our city ward representative make us aware of plans for business development in the future and issues with drainage, road repair and parking needs. In the past, and presently, development deals have been negotiated for us, then sprung upon us.
Yesterday, we had a meet and greet on our street for Kristin. I so enjoyed visiting with my neighbors as their children played in the yard. We reconnected with old friends and made new ones. Community is one of the things that I most love about Homewood. I can’t wait to see how we grow closer as a community through the town hall meetings which Kristin is going to hold. As Kristin says, We Love Homewood is not just one day out of the year, but everyday.
